Game Boy And Game Boy Advance Finally Available On Nintendo Switch

After a long wait and a lot of hope, the Game Boy and Game Boy Advance are now available on the Nintendo Switch via Nintendo Switch Online. The Game Boy is available to all subscribers of Nintendo Switch Online, whilst the Game Boy Advance is only available to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members. The first bunch of games are already available to play today. Read on to see which games are coming to the system.

Nintendo put some effort into the Game Boy and Game Boy Advance on the Switch. Game Boy games will be able to switch between Game Boy, Game Boy Pocket and Game Boy Color screen filters to replicate the nostalgic experience. Additionally, both the Game Boy and Game Boy Advance will have local and online multiplayer with select compatible titles. 

The full list of Game Boy games confirmed to be available for Nintendo Switch Online members are as follows. Most of the games are available now, but games marked in bold are scheduled to arrive some time in the future.

  • The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX
  • The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages
  • The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons
  • Wario Land 3
