Eight months after its initial release, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition has hit Steam and will later be on the Epic Games Store. With Rockstar Games’ GTA Trilogy, fans can return to Vice City, Liberty City, and San Andreas on Steam. In addition, the GTA developer has stated that the game is also playable on Steam Deck.
The GTA Trilogy had a bit of a rocky launch, with players encountering many bugs and texture glitches. Many fans thought the overall product felt rushed and below Rockstar’s usual standards. Since then, the GTA developer apologized and offered the original games on the Rockstar Games Launcher for PC. In addition, the games have been improved over time with a series of patches addressing glitches and graphical issues, enhancing the overall user experience.
If you’re still interested in the game, picking it up on Steam now will save you 50% off the normal price of $59.99 through Feb. 2. Overall, $30 is not a bad deal for a remake of three prestigious open-world titles. Elsewhere, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar is still working on the Android and iOS versions of the game, which are planned to be released later this year.
If you’re still looking for news on Grand Theft Auto VI, the last we heard was that Microsoft expects the game to launch at some point in 2024. We can only hope we hear at least something on the game this year, which is also the year of Grand Theft Auto V‘s tenth anniversary.
