Harvest Moon is a tough subject to bring up these days. While the franchise bears Natsume’s name, these aren’t the games many of us grew up with. Each game is a gamble as you try to find the spirit of the original, which now belongs to Story of Seasons. But Harvest Moon: Light of Hope has potential to be something of the experience we once knew.
Natsume brought Harvest Moon: Light of Hope to Steam in 2017 to much success. This year, Natsume and Rising Star Games are preparing to bring Light of Hope to the Switch and PlayStation 4, offering a special edition that will provide content only available through the console iterations.
“Harvest Moon fans have been eager to experience the series on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, so we are happy to be able to give them a date to put on their calendar!” said Hiro Maekawa, president and CEO of Natsume. “The Special Edition has new features made specifically for console gamers that we will be unveiling throughout the coming months. We also look forward to sharing some special bonuses to go along with the game.”
Harvest Moon: Light of Hope will arrive this May for both the Switch and PS4. This particular installment will see players tasked with rebuilding a town that was destroyed in a storm. To do this, you will need to manage various activities, including growing crops, tending to livestock, and gathering the materials needed to fix the town. You will make new friends, start a family, and work to save the town.
Harvest Moon: Light of Hope has plenty of potential. You can see more in the video below:
Harvest Moon: Light of Hope will arrive in stores this May for $39.99/ €39.99, so keep an eye out.
