Harvest Moon: Skytree Village has been announced for the Nintendo 3DS, will be shown at E3

A new Harvest Moon game is something that you can almost say with certainty is coming at some point, it seems like it was around this time last year that Natsume announced the last game, and now they have revealed the next game coming for the series. Just today developer and publisher of the Harvest Moon games Natsume revealed the next game in this long running franchise, Harvest Moon: Skytree Village and it is coming for the Nintendo 3DS. This new entry will be set in a brand new location known as the Oasis of the Harvest Goddess, where the once prosperous land has began to suffer as a result of the Harvest Goddess’ power gradually waning. Natsume has shared that it is up to the player to revive the seven Skytrees in order to give the Harvest Goddess her power back, and, in turn bring life back to the Oasis.

Talking about the new game, Harvest Moon series producer, Taka Maekawa, explained that the team “revisited each and every part of what makes a Harvest Moon game, and are excited at the end result.” He also confirmed that the latest game in the Harvest Moon series will also be shown off at E3 this year, so we should be expecting some new details to surface very soon. As of yet no release date or even window has been announced, however we can hope something might come about at E3, who knows we can live in hope.
