Hello Kitty Island Adventure Hits 500K Sales In Just One Month

The relaxing vibes of Hello Kitty Island Adventure have proven popular, as the developers over at Sunblink have announced that the Sanrio-themed cozy adventure sold over 500,000 copies in its first 30 days on sale! The game is only available digitally at present on Nintendo Switch and Steam, so this sales total represents digital copies only; Hello Kitty Island Adventure will be getting a physical release later this month which we expect will bump this higher.

This is a great feat for the indie studio, currently only having two games under their belt. Originally released on Apple Arcade in July 2023, Hello Kitty Island Adventure received an expanded release on Switch and PC in January of this year. Heavily inspired by life sim Animal Crossing, the game has been met with positive reviews – it currently has a 93% positive score on Steam, along with a Metacritic score sitting in the 80s

As mentioned earlier, a physical Deluxe Edition of Hello Kitty Island Adventure is set for release on March 25, which features the base game along with an additional 300+ items and rewards from past seasonal events throughout 2023 and 2024. A PlayStation release has also been confirmed, but with no set release date at present.
