Horror Anthology Stories Untold Coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One

Looking for a creepy game to send a shiver down your spine this Halloween? Then you may be interested in Stories Untold, an episodic anthology of horror tales developed by No Code and published by Devolver Digital.

The chilling puzzle-adventure title, which initially released for PC in 2017 and debuted for Nintendo Switch earlier this year, is coming to two more consoles, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, on October 27, 2020.

Stories Untold, which was inspired by other horror anthology media such as the TV show Twilight Zone, consists of four episodes, each of which can be completed in roughly an hour or two. Each episode takes place in a unique spooky setting including the attic of an abandoned house, an experimental laboratory, and a research station in Antarctica. Although they are initially presented as unconnected, players may begin to notice some recurring story threads as they play through each of the four stories.

The game has received generally positive reviews from fans and critics alike, as some praise it for successfully delivering a creepy experience without requiring an overly long play time. This comes as no surprise, given the caliber of horror talent working on the game – writer and director Jon McKellan previously worked on the notoriously terrifying Alien: Isolation, while the poster and logo for Untold Stories were designed by Kyle Lambert, who also lent his artistic talent to popular Netflix series Stranger Things.

In addition to its upcoming release for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Untold Stories is currently available for $2.50 via the Epic Games Store. However, this is a limited time offer, so you’ll have to act fast if you’re interested in giving this chilling collection a try on a discount,

Have you played Stories Untold? Which of the four episodes which make up the game was your favorite? What other creepy games will you be enjoying this Halloween? Let us know!
