Lightning-Fast Cooking Roguelite PlateUp! Coming To Nintendo Switch

Have you ever dreamed of owning your own restaurant? What about co-owning a restaurant with up to three of your friends and getting to not only run the place, but also decorate it and upgrade your cooking/serving process with tons of high-tech gadgets? Well, now you can!

PlateUp!, which describes itself as a “fast-paced roguelite cooking management sim,” was announced to be making its way to Nintendo Switch during the today’s Indie World livestream event. The game, which debuted for PC via Steam in August 2022, will be receiving a Switch version in October 2023. A specific date has not yet been announced.

In PlateUp!, up to four players can collaborate to run a restaurant, managing both the kitchen and front of house at the same time. You’ll need to cook up meals, serve your hungry guests before they get upset and leave, wash dishes, and more to keep everything running smoothly. After each shift, you will unlock devices like Dishwashers and Turbo Ovens that can help automate your process and serve even more meals to even more customers.

In addition to devices, you can unlock decorations such as posters, rugs, and flower arrangements that you can use to decorate your restaurant and improve customer mood. Plus, each shift is randomly generated, so you never know exactly which customers will come to visit your restaurant, which dishes they will order, or which rewards you will get at the end! Whether you’re playing with one friend or several, running a burger joint or a high-end steakhouse, each run-through of PlateUp! will be a completely unique experience.

Are you ready to take on the challenge of restaurant management? Get ready to “create, decorate, and automate” when this chaotic indie game makes its way onto the Switch later this year. In addition to Switch, PlateUp! will be coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It will be available day one via Xbox Game Pass for both console and PC.
