A release date for the Wii U version of Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games has been announced during today’s Direct. After the previous reveal of the 3DS release date Nintendo finally revealed that the home console version will be arriving on June 24th.

This new game will include a series of new sports that have never appeared in any of the previous games, this includes Rugby Seven’s and Rhythmic Gymnastics besides this the game will feature stadiums and event environments modeled after those venues playing host to the Olympic games later this year.
