Melty Blood: Type Lumina Releases September 30 for Consoles and PC

Project Lumina has announced that Melty Blood: Type Lumina will be releasing for PC via Steam in addition to on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The game is due to release worldwide on September 30.

While the western-release will be digital-only, there will be a Deluxe Edition as well as the standard edition. The Deluxe Edition includes a Melty Blood Guide Book containing artwork and details of the game’s setting and history, and a Melty Blood Sound Collection letting players enjoy a selection of tracks from the Melty Blood: Type Lumina soundtrack and the rest of the Melty Blood series.

The newly-announced PC version will support Japanese, English, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese language options.

The Japanese physical edition comes with a 96-page art book, three disc sound collection and packaging featuring artwork by Type-Moon’s renowned artist Takashi Takeuchi, along with a copy of the game.

As an additional early purchase bonus, those who buy either the standard or deluxe version of the game before October 27 will receive the Arcueid Brunestud Round Announcements bonus content for free. It will be available as paid DLC after October 27.

Melty Blood: Type Lumina rebuilds cult-hit fighter Melty Blood, with new mechanics such as the Rapid Beat system and other actions that will “make use of new resources” combined with classic features. There will be over 10 playable characters from upcoming remake Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon- at launch, with Shiki, Arcueid, Akiha, Ciel, HIsui, and Kohaku confirmed so far.
