Back at E3 this year Microsoft made the announcement that the Xbox One would be receiving backwards compatibility with games for the Xbox 360. At this point Microsoft has confirmed the first one hundred and four games to be coming to the console as backwards compatible.
Backwards compatibility is set to go live on November 12th as part of the Xbox experience and Microsoft has confirmed that these first lot of games are only the beginning more will be released over time.
Alongside classics like Banjo Kazooie (which you can get through Rare Replay), you will also be able to get hold of heavy hitters like the original Borderlands, Fallout 3, Mirror’s Edge, the entire Gears of War series, Assassin’s Creed 2 and even Mass Effect, and this is just a handful of whats on offer. In further confirmation Microsoft has said in the near future we can look forward to seeing the entire Bioshock trilogy, Call of Duty Black Ops, Skate 3 and even Halo Wars, and these games will be released regularly according to Microsoft.
