It is the end of another month and as we have come to expect, Microsoft has revealed the games that will be available via its Games With Gold service in February. This month will bring plenty of variety with a mix of newer releases, classic adventures and modern updates.
Starting with the Xbox One, through the entirety of February you can pick up Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon. This was a Kickstarter bonus for the upcoming Ritual of the Night that has managed to make waves on its own. Curse of the Moon pays homage to its inspiration, Castlevania 3: Dracula’s Curse, in a very close fashion, but it contains enough interesting ideas to be valuable on its own feet.
From Feb. 16 to March 15, you can download Super Bomberman R. This game brings back the classic gameplay of the Bomberman series for modern audiences, ripe with a silly story, addicting fast-paced gameplay, and entertaining dialogue.
Moving on to the Xbox 360, running from Feb. 1 to 15, you can get Assassin’s Creed: Rogue. Utilizing much of the ship mechanics established through Black Flag, this journey takes us back to the high seas to tell the tale of an Assassin turned Templar and his mission to destroy the Assassin’s Brotherhood.
Finally, there is Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, which will be available from Feb. 16 to 28. This is the second original Xbox title released through the Games With Gold service. Jedi Academy was praised for its fun gameplay that allowed you to dispatch Stormtroopers with a combination of force and lightsaber abilities.
As usual don’t forget that all games are also available on the Xbox One via backwards compatibility. If you haven’t yet, at the time of writing you still have time to collect some of January’s offerings, including 2018 hit Celeste, as well as the classic shooter Far Cry 2.
