Naughty Dog are one of Sony’s best development studios and have without a doubt made some of the best franchises and games to ever grace Sony’s consoles, and while we know that Naughty Dog is presently working on the Playstation 4 remastering of The Last of Us there are also two other projects that the studio is presently working on.
As it stands we already know that one of these two projects is the latest game in the Uncharted series, the other game however remains unannounced.
Neil Druckmann was creative director on The Last of Us, and he confirmed in an interview with EDGE that his studio is working on what he called two “brand new experiences”, if you include Uncharted PS4. He also spoke briefly on his thoughts about game remakes, which are worth reading:
“Looking at a DVD versus Blu-ray, it’s not a totally brand-new experience, but when you’re seeing the film, the clarity of the image is much closer to how the director and the team initially saw it. There’s something nice about that. I think if there was nothing but remakes, that would be pretty sad for the console. Just like any system out there, any medium, it’s going to be a mixture.
“When Blu-ray came out, the first thing is you buy all these re-releases of movies that you’ve loved, and then you see Gravity and you can’t wait to see it on your Blu-ray. There’s always room for a mixture of old and new.”

I would love to see the second project be a new entry in the Jak series, it was a fun series that has been dormant since the Playstation 2 and it deserves to enter a new era. I can only hope but what we do know is that whatever the other game is it is going to be good as per Naughty Dog’s history.
