New Characters Coming to Pokken Tournament DX

New fighters are headed to Pokken Tournament DX.

After the Wii U version failed to build upon its roster, it was understandable to think that Nintendo and Bandai Namco would provide nothing more beyond their release of the deluxe version of the game But that line of thinking is wrong; the Nintendo Direct Mini brought the unexpected surprise that additional content is headed to the game.

You will need to pay a fee to gain access to the upcoming Battle Packs. With these you will get some basic new additions such as costumes for your player avatar, but also new additions to the roster. The first pack will provide players with Aegislash as a fighter, and Mega Rayquaza and Mimikyu. The second pack will provide Blastoise as a fighter, with Mew and Celebi as new support Pokémon.

The first pack will arrive on January 31, and the second will arrive on March 23. You can head to the Nintendo eShop now and pre-purchase the content.
