New Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Ad Says The Game Is “Out Now”

Thee’s either something weird going on or Nintendo just made a heck of a mistake. A new public poster advertisement for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond in London’s Underground has just been spotted – and it says the game is “out now”. The discovery was shared over on Reddit by user Orchestar, with the user posting additional photos from all angles to prove it’s neither AI nor a Photoshopped image. We’ve looked at the images ourselves, and they seem pretty real to us

It goes without saying but Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is, in fact, not out now. Still, this is a mysterious poster to appear and leaves us with a lot of questions. Was this one put up too early? Was this one intended to be put up but plans for the game’s release changed and it was done by mistaken? It could be a sign of an imminent release, but to shadow drop one of Nintendo’s most anticipated releases in recent history would be one wild surprise release, and perhaps too unrealistic an option.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is shrouded in mystery, and now the mysteries are appearing in real life too.

So far, perhaps the most realistic theory is that the “out now” tag was intended to have “coming soon” stuck on top of it, which could then be removed and replaced with the release date once it’s announced – but then we’d still wonder why have “out now” underneath it? Surely the ad won’t still be up when Nintendo does release Metroid Prime 4: Beyond which before now was expected to be far later in the year. We just don’t know, but we can’t wait to find out what’s going on and to get our hands on the long-awaited and visually striking game ourselves.
