The calling card has been delivered! The mobile role-playing game Nier Reincarnation has an announced an unexpected collaboration event with Atlus’ Persona 5 Royal, releasing this week on Sept. 8. The crossover sees Joker, Queen, Fox and the Jack Frost persona make their way over from Persona 5 Royal into the world of Nier. You can check out the reveal trailer in the tweet below.

The release of Nier Reincarnation was a messy one, with praise for its flashy graphics and combat, whilst many criticised its gacha mechanics. The game doesn’t hide that it wants the player’s money, with menus full of icons pushing you for a purchase. A collaboration with the much beloved Persona 5 Royal is sure to catch the eyes of more players, and for the devs, hopefully bringing some of that sweet gacha money with it.
