Nintendo Indie World Showcase Returns October 28: Start Time and Where to Watch

Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase streams today, October 28, at 7 AM PT on the company’s official YouTube channel, and it is expected to run about 15 minutes.

Nintendo announced the showcase on October 27 and said it will cover “new announcements and updates on indie games coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.” Because the event is indie-focused, the announcements will come from Nintendo’s third-party partners rather than its own studios. Nintendo has not revealed any of the games ahead of the broadcast.

The first Indie World since March

This is the first Indie World Showcase since the one held in March, a gap of about seven months in a year that Nintendo filled with its larger Direct presentations, like the one focused on Switch games. Indie World events are Nintendo’s shorter, indie-focused format, and they have a history of surprise same-day launches: the March showcase delivered Denshattack! and the shadow drop of the roguelite puzzler Blue Prince on Switch 2.

The showcase falls in a quiet stretch before Nintendo’s traditional January and February Direct season, so it may be the company’s last announcement event of the year. The broadcast begins at 7 AM PT on Nintendo’s official YouTube channel, which is 10 AM Eastern.
