The Nintendo Switch 2 Direct Will Be As Long As 2017’s Switch Presentation

It may be April 1st, but this is no joke! Nintendo has announced that tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct entirely dedicated to the Nintendo Switch 2 for the first time will be approximately an entire hour long. That’s pretty lengthy for a Nintendo Direct, but it gets even more exciting when you realise that’s roughly the same length as 2017’s Nintendo Switch Presentation, which revealed the console and its upcoming games to the world.

Nintendo being able to dedicate an entire hour to the Switch 2 suggests that they have some things up their sleeve. We can’t imagine they could dedicate an entire hour to just the hardware, given how similar it is to the original Switch. This suggests either there’s lots of surprises in store for how the system works, or they’ve got games to show for it – or most likely, both! The presentation will air at 6 AM PT, 9 AM ET, 2 PM BST or 3 PM CEST. You can check out the official livestream page for a countdown to the reveal right here.

The Nintendo Switch 2 Direct is almost here, and will be an entire hour long.

2017’s hour-long Switch presentation came with some jaw-dropping reveals, such as a full preview of how the system functioned, and massive game reveals from Splatoon 2 to the legendary Super Mario Odyssey. They also previewed ARMS, but we know how that turned out. We’re trying to keep our expectations in check, but knowing Nintendo is preparing to run an equal length presentation for the Switch 2 does make our imagination start running over time. Whatever they’re cooking up for an entire 60 minutes, we can’t wait to see it.
