To commence this quest, make your way to the town of Montwise and seek out the Worried Woman. Engage in conversation with her and discover the reason behind her anxiety – why is “he” so intent on entering the tournament? Despite his gentle nature and pure intentions, she cannot dissuade him from his pursuit. Should he proceed, his safety will be put at grave risk, or worse, he may even lose his life.
To aid the Worried Woman, venture into the Underground Arena and locate the Fainthearted Youth. He is the individual referenced by the Worried Woman in your earlier conversation. Use your wit and skills to provoke him into a duel and emerge victorious, taking his place in the arena. You can use any knockout skills – Hikari’s Challenge, Ochette’s Provoke, Castti’s Soothe, or Throne’s Ambush – to remove the Fainthearted Youth and take his place. However, because the character who knocked out the Youth will fight in his place, Hikari is generally recommended.
There, you shall confront Yurinas in a magnificent showdown. His formidable 6-level shield points denote that it shall not be an easy feat to vanquish him. You must be at least level 40 or above to have a chance of winning. However, should you fail to defeat him, fear not, for your true accomplishment lies in preventing the Fainthearted Youth from endangering himself. Therefore, whether victorious or not, the quest shall be concluded, rewarding you with 2,000 Leaves and a Reinforcing Jam. However, should you successfully defeat Yurinas, you will receive an accessory called the Champion’s Belt.
