PDP to Launch Gamecube Modeled Controllers for the Switch

Performance Designed Products (PDP) will be launching controllers for the Nintendo Switch that are modeled after Gamecube controllers.

The controllers will have three different designs based on our favorite Nintendo games: Mario, Pokémon, and Zelda. The Mario controller will be red, with a M logo built in the top center of the controller. Zelda’s will be blue, with Link’s Hylian shield embedded into it. Lastly, the Pokémon controller will be yellow, with an outline of Pikachu inserted in the top center of the controller.

The controllers are meant to help fans play the upcoming Smash Brothers game, set to launch in December, with the same feel they played Smash Brothers Melee with. The cords of the controllers will be 10 feet long, allowing gamers to play freely and comfortably.

No launch date has been announced for these latest designs, but fans were asked to check periodically. It is expected to release just in time for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The game will have all the characters from the first Smash Brothers to the most recent, plus new ones.
