With the spooky season now a thing of the past, it’s time to start turning our attention to the holiday season. Sony’s gift to us at the start of this season is the main PlayStation 4 offerings for PS Plus being remakes and remasters of older games.
One of the stars of this month’s PS Plus offerings is Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition, a remaster of a shooter that originally saw its home on the PS3 and Xbox 360. This was an arcade-style shooter that focused on over-the-top killing as you chained attacks for creative action. The other PS4 game is Yakuza Kiwami, a full remake of the original Yakuza game. This game, much like the rest of the series, prides itself on excellent storytelling and combat. For those looking for an entry point into the series, this is your best option offering you an opportunity to look at the series and see if it’s for you. If you want to read more about whether the Yakuza series is for you, take a look at our review of the latest game in the timeline, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life.
PS3 owners can look forward to Jackbox Party Pack 2, an outlandish party game that is fun for anyone. On top of this, the PS3 is also getting Arkedo Series, a pack of three vintage-style games which are colorful and provide some classic fun.
For those who own a PS Vita, you can get Burly Men at Sea, a tale about three fisherman who set out on an adventure. This game blends point-and-click gameplay with a visual-novel style. Vita owners can also get Roundabout, an open-world driving game. Both of these games will also be available for PS4 users via Cross Buy.
