Fortnite loves a crossover. Just this past week we got the Dragon Ball X Fortnite event, but it seems the next has already leaked. Yesterday it was reported by HypeX (via MidaRado on Twitter) that a collaboration was incoming between the giant online shooter franchise Destiny and battle royale king Fortnite. Now we’ve got out first images.

Coming to us from dataminer GinsorKR on Twitter, we can see a Fortnite-themed Destiny armor set that will be coming soon to game. Whilst our first image are from Destiny, the collaboration is expected to go both ways. As was noted by Destiny Bulletin, Epic Games asked players earlier this year if they were familiar with Destiny characters Drifter, Titan, Hive, Failsafe and Mara Sov. A lot of past collaborations in Fortnite, including Dragon Ball, originated from these player surveys, so it isn’t farfetched to assume the same would happen again.

There’s a lot of potential in Destiny for some cool Fortnite skins. Fan-favorite characters such as Cayde-6 or Xur would surely prove to be popular. Epic could even get more creative and make a customizable Guardian skin, similar to the existing customizable superhero skins. The possibilities are endless.
