If you don’t know what a lithograph is, don’t worry, we didn’t either. That’s not important for solving this puzzle in Resident Evil 4 Remake, but that doesn’t make it any easier. This section has been giving many players a lot of grief, but not because the puzzle itself is terribly confusing.
This is another one of those puzzles in the Castle that makes no sense in reality, but that everyone just kind of goes along with in Resident Evil 4 Remake. Unfortunately, Leon can’t just blast his way through this wall, so we’re going to have to do it the hard way and solve this little trial. Luckily, you’ve got our guide to help!
How To Solve The Lithographic Puzzle In Resident Evil 4 Remake
The basic idea of the lithographic puzzle is to collect the four stones, conveniently labeled A, B, C, and D, and place them not only in the correct spots on the wall but in the correct orientation. Stone A is on the wall already, B on the bookshelf, C on the table, and D behind the glass in the cabinet.
Once you’ve got all four, you need to match them with the symbols we’ll label North, East, South, and West.
North: Shield
East: Sword
South: Armor
West: Helmet
What trips players up is that you may not see all the correct symbols, and have doubles of a sword for example. If that happens to you, what you need to do is hit either of your shoulder buttons on the controller to flip the tile over to see what symbol is on the other side. From there, you just need to put them all in the right spots to crack this wall open!
The Castle section has, in our eyes, the most obtuse puzzles in Resident Evil 4 Remake. What do you think? Was this more difficult, or did the Sword puzzle stump you for longer? Let us know how you’re getting along in the comments!
