One telltale sign in videogames that your character’s starting health isn’t the highest it can go is when the bar clearly has further to extend. In the case of Leon’s health bar in Resident Evil 4 Remake, it only wraps around the first section of the circle. Naturally, there’s plenty of room for it to grow further, but this isn’t an RPG where you will be leveling up, nor is it a game where you even have stats. So how do you increase his health?
Boosting Leon’s health can only be done with one item, and if you guessed it would be a rare one, you’d be correct. This will all come down to finding and mixing together the right ingredients. If you need a quick lesson on how to give Leon more health in Resident Evil 4 Remake, take a look at this guide!
How to Increase Health in Resident Evil 4 Remake
The key ingredient to raising your maximum health in Resident Evil 4 Remake is the Yellow Herb. Of the three types — Green, Red, and Yellow — Yellow is by far the least common to find. There are only 17 in the entire game, but thankfully that’s more than enough to fully max out your health bar. If you use them efficiently, it will only take around 13 of the 17 to max out, letting you sell the remainder for some easy cash.
Once you have a Yellow Herb, you will need to combine it in order to actually use it and get its benefit. While you could simply combine it with either a single Green or Red Herb, you get the most bang for your buck by combining all three. If you’re in a pinch, at least combine a Yellow Herb with a Red one since Red Herbs boost whatever effect they’re paired with, giving you a slightly greater increase to your maximum health than if you were to combine a Yellow and Green Herb.
That’s all there is to increasing your health in Resident Evil 4 Remake. Hopefully, this tip will help make the game a bit easier for you. What do you think of the new crafting system?
