Resident Evil 4 Remake: How to Suplex Enemies

While you will most likely stick to bullets and knives as your primary form of offense in Resident Evil 4 Remake, Leon’s agent training extends far beyond that. He’s also very skilled in melee combat, as you will see when stunning an enemy and hitting them with a powerful kick. These melee strikes are a fantastic way to conserve ammo, as well as do some crowd control since they can hit multiple enemies if they’re bunched up.

The suplex was one of the more ridiculous moves Leon could do in the original version of the game that many thought might be cut in the remake. Thankfully, you don’t have to go through this adventure without channeling your inner wrestler. The game won’t tell you how to do it, but we will. This guide provides a full lesson on how to perform a suplex in Resident Evil 4 Remake.

How to Suplex Enemies in Resident Evil 4 Remake

Resident Evil 4 Remake suplex

The suplex is a version of the melee follow-up attack you can pull off when stunning enemies by shooting them. The best way to put them into this stunned state is to land a couple of shots either in their head or their legs. You will know they are vulnerable to a melee hit when they stumble around and have a prompt above their head. Approaching head-on will give you one of Leon’s normal kicks.

If you want to show off your moves and suplex an enemy, you need to get them into this stunned state by specifically shooting them in the legs so they kneel down and then get behind them before hitting the melee prompt. You will need to be close to the enemy, since you won’t have a lot of time before the stun wears off. If done correctly, Leon will grab them by the waist, lift them over, and slam them head-first onto the ground. Suplex successful!
