This news was then shared by bigger and highly accurate Fortnite leakers such as HypeX and ShiinaBR, suggesting further that there could be truth to this rumor. We don’t know what cosmetics this could contain, but it’s an exciting prospect.
It’s not too surprising to hear of the collaboration between Sony and Netflix’s juggernaut animated movie and Epic Games’ battle royale, it feels like a match made in heaven. The characters in KPop Demon Hunters are expressively animated, well-versed in combat, and already have models that work wonderfully in a 3D cartoonish setting. It helps that the movie has been a runaway success, becoming Netflix’s most-viewed movie globally and expected to cross the 300 million views mark later this week, according to Netflix’s own metrics. Also as we know from their Fortnite Festival mode, they love collaborating with music artists both fictional and real world.
There’s a lot of possibilities for the KPop Demon Hunters collaboration in Fortnite should this rumor be proven accurate. The Huntrix girls as a bundle practically sells itself, with the choreography for hits like Golden, Takedown and Soda Pop making for a perfect opportunity to sell some emotes and Jam Tracks. If Epic Games with Fortnite really wanted to make some money, they could even sell the Saja Boys as cosmetics with alternate styles to highlight their demon forms. The potential for cosmetics is endless, and we can’t wait to see what Epic comes up with.
