According to sources from Kotaku, a new Guitar Hero game is likely to be announced for the PS4 and the Xbox One at E3 this year. According to the rumor, the title will be “more realistic” compared to the previous games’ approach, suggesting that the in-game characters and art will possibly be of higher detail and less cartoon styled than the previous games.
There is also a rumor that there are new accessories guitar in development for the game. Could this mean that we will be seeing new functions added to the ever essential guitar? Possibly, as each game so far has brought something new to the franchise.
When Kotaku reached out to Activision regarding the matter, a spokesperson replied:
“We don’t comment on rumour or speculation, but have previously said, that as one of the most beloved entertainment franchises, we would only bring Guitar Hero back if we developed the right innovations to usher the franchise into the new generation of gaming.” — Activision Spokesperson
