Indie game developers share their work progress every week on Twitter with the #ScreenshotSaturday hashtag. In this piece, we take a look at the most interesting and eye-catching screenshots or short videos of indie games shared on Saturday, May 14th.

GameLuster has a Screenshot Saturday round-up every week. You can check out the previous list here.

Squirrel With A Gun

We’ve seen some fantastic creations by indie developers in the Unreal Engine 5 recently, and this week we were surprised by this badass squirrel raining fire from above with an Uzi. The video was shared by the developer (@QuiteDan) in this tweet, and we can’t wait to see more of this intimidating critter in action.

March March!

This video from March March! was shared by the developers (@LepkaGames) in this tweet. This simplicity of the model and animation creates a unique and adorable creature. I personally love the patches of greenery acting as the hair and tail of this earth elemental, and I look forward to seeing more of this game in the future. You can wishlist March March! on Steam right now.

Twisted Draw

These screenshots from Twisted Draw were shared by the developer (@DegenTris) in this tweet. The game has an amazing 3D design and color scheme, and the world looks quite unique for a rogue-like deck builder. We hope to learn more about Twisted Draw in the coming weeks, and you can wishlist the game and participate in early access right now on Steam.

HAYAI

This trailer for HAYAI was shared by the developer (@Chaoclypse) in this tweet. The game has a minimalistic art style and intriguing combat gameplay that works by drawing your attacks between enemies and watching the devastation. We’re excited to play HAYAI soon as it is set to release on March 19, and you can wishlist the game on Steam.

Earthshattering Swing

Sometimes you are hit so hard that the ground shatters as you are thrown away from the force. This video was shared by the indie developer (@Ssaldev) in this tweet, and the animation and visual effects seem really fun! The game blends whimsical visuals with brutal combat animations, and we can’t wait to see more footage of it in the future!
