Ubisoft has given us a release window for Skull and Bones, as well as some new gameplay footage.
At E3 2018, Ubisoft announced that Skull and Bones will release in 2019. They also released a trailer that showcased the game's single-player mode (seen below). According to the trailer, it was the age of piracy, until the empire came along and changed everything. Now, pirate crews have come to the Indian Ocean, looking to steal every last piece of loot that they can. Players must deal with both the empire and each other, as well as other variables such as weather, which can change a player's fortunes.
A trailer showing gameplay for Skull and Bones was released as well. Players can customize their ships, including adding a battering ram and the type of cannons that will be used. Players can also change their sails in an attempt to fool their enemies. However, when it does come down to fighting, players will be able to release a barrage of fire on their enemies. Players can collide into enemy ships and board them. Combat can break out at any time, as even allies can betray those they worked with. You can check out the gameplay trailer below.
Skull and Bones will release in 2019. The title will release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
