All eyes are on Sonic, as the upcoming Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds gets closer and closer to the finish line, scheduled for release on September 25. As part of the hype machine to get new fans into the racing series, the Japanese Sonic YouTube account just revealed a new collaboration heading to Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds that isn’t part of their expansive Season Pass content, but still gets their own spotlight. The collaboration will be with Beyblade, but more specifically, the new Beyblade X toys.
The latest line of Beyblade introduces a new X-Dash feature, hence their name Beyblade X. The extreme speed feature allows them to fly around rapidly, so it’s easy to see why the high-speed antics of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is a perfect fit with the toys. The collaboration will see five in-game Beyblade X decals available to use on player vehicles, to represent the speeding toys and show how serious about speed you can get. Watch the trailer for yourself below!
The Beyblade crossover will be available in CrossWorlds from its September launch day, with in-person collaboration events set to follow in future. These events will see the collaboration stickers be given to fans in real life to decorate their rooms, consoles or toys with. We don’t know which region will be receiving these events, but it’s safe to assume Japan will be Sega’s focus, given the Japanese language reveal.
