Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds – All Confirmed Characters, Courses And Crossovers So Far

With August beginning, we’re officially just one month away from Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, which is set to launch next month on September 25. It’s potentially one of the most hyped releases in the Sonic Racing series I’ve seen, thanks in part to its proximity to Mario Kart World, and also the heaps of Fortnite-like crossover and collaboration content.

If you’re looking to get all caught up with everything you can expect to find on the tracks of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, we’ve put together this extensive list of all the confirmed content set to come to the game. From collaboration characters with other well-known gaming IP to courses that reference classic Sonic releases, here’s all the confirmed content for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds so far!

Even non-Sonic characters have the need for speed, such as SpongeBob.

Alongside some of the big (and more niche) characters appearing from the Sonic series, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds also comes with plenty of crossover collaborations with other franchises. Some of these will appear as free content added post-launch, whilst others will appear as part of the paid Season Pass collaborations. Let’s start with the free post-launch racers.

  • Hatsune Miku
  • Joker (from Persona)
  • Ichiban Kasuga (from Yakuza/Like a Dragon)
  • Ten additional unknown crossover characters

The next bunch of characters require owning the paid Season Pass, and come from some surprising non-SEGA franchises!

  • Creeper (from Minecraft)

  • Patrick Star

The original courses can take Sonic and friends to some wild tracks.

It’s fun to have a lot of characters around, but we need somewhere to race! There’s a bunch of racetracks to be found in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, and here’s all the original or Sonic-inspired main racing courses you can expect to play at launch, along with the games that inspired them if they aren’t original to CrossWorlds.

Alongside the main tracks, there are the titular CrossWorlds that players will also race on. These are different tracks that racers can be transported to mid-race, which can mix up the game and give you a dynamic change of course. Here are all the confirmed CrossWorlds so far, along with their inspiration games if applicable.
