Sony has announced two brand new color schemes for the PlayStation 5's DualSense controller, both bringing a fresh look to a controller previously only available in a mix of white and black. Cosmic Red and Midnight Black were both unveiled in a PS Blog post in which Isabelle Tomatis, Senior Director at SIE, gave some extra detail on the two versions: "Midnight Black features two subtly different shades of black with light grey detailing to reflect how we view space through the night sky, and Cosmic Red offers a striking black and red design inspired by the unique vivid shades of red found throughout the cosmos."
The post also let fans know when these controllers will be available for purchase. For US residents, pre-orders are already open PS Direct, with the official release date set as 11 June. A Cosmic Red DualSense controller will set you back $74.99, with the Midnight Black controller coming in at $69.99 - the same price as the standard the DualSense. Customers in the UK or Europe can put in a pre-order at GAME, or through Amazon.
