A brand new character has been introduced for Soulcalibur VI.
Bandai Namco has introduced Azwel, the Leader of Humanity, in a brand new trailer (seen below). He wields a weapon called the Palindrome, which allows him to materialize weapons from nothing. He was first seen in the trailer for the Libra of Soul mode. He will be the third new character being introduced to the game, following Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher series, and Grøh.
Azwel is not the only character to be revealed recently. It was announced last week that Tira will be making her way into Soulcalibur VI as a DLC character. She will be available to purchase as a stand-alone character, or as part of the game’s season pass.
The full reveal of Azwel comes soon after the reveal of Soulcalibur VI’s second story mode, Libra of Soul. This mode has players creating their own character, who must stop an evil villain from collecting all of the Soul Edge shards. This created character will run into veterans of the series throughout the story. When creating a character, gamers can choose from 16 races, as well as a number of other features such as body type and fighting style. Characters created in this mode will be usable in online casual and ranked matches.
Soulcalibur VI will release on October 19. The game will release for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
