Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life Best Animals

As we all know, farming simulators are all about life on the farm and making some money to buy those next seeds you need and also sometimes buying an animal to produce a product for you. Animals are the most expensive investment though but in the long run, they will pay themselves off easily.

Animals like cows, sheep, and chickens will give you products that can be turned into other items like cheese, mayonnaise, and cotton! These products will eventually increase in quality and result in selling for more money than they were initially worth. And sometimes if you raise an animal correctly it can be sold for even higher rarity animals. In this guide, we will show you who the best animals to invest in are!

The Best Animals

Before we get into the nitty gritty let’s cover something here, you will have to sell your animals if you are wanting to have the most “optimum” farm. So if you’re wanting to have the most money but you have a soft side for your furry friends, you may want to accept this fate now. The game gives you a cow at the beginning who just gave birth so she is producing more milk, so you have an initial cow to take care of at least.

Chickens

Our little chicken nuggets are going to probably be the first animals that you purchase. They’re cheep cheep, 500g for a rooster and 1,000g for a hen. Hen’s will produce eggs which can be fertilized by the roosters and then hatched into more chickens.

Eventually, you will have a never-ending cycle of chickens to hatch, sell and even turn into mayonnaise at some point. (The eggs of course not the actual chickens.) Normal eggs can be sold for 100g and Fertilized eggs are sold for 150g!

Cows

These are the cash cows of the farm! Pun intended. After you’ve cycled through a few chickens, sold some eggs, and sold some milk from your starter cow, you’ll want to look into purchasing another cow. There are four types of cows that can be purchased:

  • Normal (5,000g)
  • Brown (20,000g)
  • Marble (20,000g)
  • Star (50,000g)

There are bulls and heifers that can be purchased but we really don’t want to look into buying a bull because the only thing they are good for essentially is cross-breeding and even then we don’t need them to reproduce.

Within the cows, there are three different grades going from B, A to S tier. The quality of the cow increases the price of the product it produces.

  • Normal cow’s milk goes for 100g, 125g, 150g
  • Brown and Marble cow’s milk goes for 175g, 250g, 325g.
  • Star cow’s milk goes for 325g

Then besides milk Brown cow milk can be turned into a higher-rank butter and Marble cow milk can be turned into a higher-grade cheese. Make sure to love on, talk with, milk and brush your cows every single day!

Sheep

And without further ado, we have the sheep. Now unlike the last two animals the males are actually worthwhile here because the male and female sheep produce the same product thankfully. Sheep sell for a whopping 3,000g but their wool will sell for just as much as you bought them for and then more:

  • Pink Wool sells for 3,000g
  • Blue Wool sells for 4,000g
  • Gold Wool sells for 6,000g

Sheep are the easiest animal to take care of because all they require day to day is a brush and a hug. If you’re persistent with showing them love and care they will eventually level up like Goku and Vegeta and change their hair color which can then be sold for ludicrous amounts of money!
