When it came to character announcements for the new Smash Brothers at E3 I believe there was two characters that people were definitely expecting, the first of these characters was Pacman it was the obvious next inclusion that as much as I would like to have been right in my denial it happened, the second of these characters are the Mii Fighters. I believe many of us expected Mii’s to appear in some way but I don’t think any of us executed just how great these characters are potentially set to be. The Mii Fighters are potentially going to be one of the best playable characters and Sakurai has further elaborated on the Mii Fighters in today’s picture of the day explaining how size differences play in on their playstyle. Here is Sakurai’s message and as usual the picture of the day is above:
Some of the physical characteristics of Miis get carried over when you use them as Mii Fighters. The smaller ones become speed fighters and the bigger ones are more akin to power fighters.
This is certainly interesting and does mean he characters still remain balanced because of how the characters are played which is definitely good and means that you can determine whether you are slow but powerful or fast but weaker in your attacks. This is sounding really good.
