The Call Of Duty X Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Collab Pricing Is Disastrous

We recently reported on the reveal of a collaboration between the iconic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the pretty infamous Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. At the time of reveal we only had a glimpse at the legendary foursome’s in-game designs, but we now know exactly how much it will cost to unlock everything the collaboration has and… it’s not looking good.

In total, players will need to pay roughly $90 to unlock everything the collaboration with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has to offer. Keep in mind that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is not free, and costs $70 upfront at retail price to access the game. Each hero (in a half shell) will cost $20 worth of COD points (which is 2,400 COD Points), for a grand total of $80 for all turtle bundles. Because there’s no such thing as enough money for a company like Activision, there will also be a new ‘Premium Event Pass’ that will cost an additional $10 in COD Points – yes, it really is $90 to get them all.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration teaser
The price of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in Black Ops 6 is no cause to cowabunga.

This would be shocking pricing on its own, but it’s even more outrageous when compared to Fortnite and its collaboration with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The battle royale game also collaborated with the turtles, and owning Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo would only cost around $30 in Fortnite, compared to eye-watering Call of Duty numbers.

This isn’t even Call of Duty: Black Ops 6‘s first scandal with overpriced cosmetics, as the recent Squid Game collaboration also resulted in an outcry from fans with its cosmetic bundles and additional premium pass requiring an exorbitant amount to unlock everything. It’s a shame to see such interesting collaborations behind a big paywall, but maybe the rest of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 Reloaded’s content will make it better?

Will you be buying any of these Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cosmetics in Call of Duty, or are these prices not as totally tubular as Activision believes? Sound off in the comments below, and keep your eyes on GameLuster for more breaking gaming news.
