Although we’ve seen a few trailers for upcoming survival horror title Resident Evil Village, we still don’t know all that much about what is actually going on in the highly anticipated game. Here’s what we do know: both Resident Evil 7 protagonist Ethan Winters and series staple Chris Redfield are returning; the setting includes a village with an extremely unsettling history, which might include cult activities and dark ties to the supernatural; werewolf-like creatures are involved somehow; and…there’s a really big lady vampire that the Internet is already going crazy over?
Developer Capcom promised a Resident Evil-themed showcase on January 21, which would include the reveal of more in-depth information about Village. The thirty-second mini-trailer that announced the showcase included a few shots of an elegantly dressed female vampire wearing an extremely large and distinctive hat. After comparing her height to humans also appearing in the trailer, fans have come to the conclusion that she is probably around nine or ten feet tall.
…And, apparently, that she’s very attractive.
Shortly after Capcom’s announcement, Resident Evil fans took to Twitter to profess their attraction to the tall vampire woman. Some are even quite excited about the prospect of getting scared or killed by her.

Others have particular hope for exactly how this character, who is speculated to be a recurring villain similar to the previous game’s Mr. X, might off the protagonist should she catch him.

Even some users not previously interested in Village have announced their intent to purchase the game after seeing the character.

Hopefully, the upcoming Showcase will reveal more about this character which has captivated the minds and hearts of so much of the Internet. We don’t even know her name, let alone what role she will play in the story or how she will interact with Ethan and/or Chris. Give us more details, Capcom! Your fans want to know!
Resident Evil Village is currently scheduled for release later in 2021 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, and PC.
