The Last Of Us Climbs PlayStation Charts Following HBO Success

With only one episode remaining of HBO’s adaptation of The Last Of Us, the PSN charts should be evidence enough of the impact the series has had, and this is before you consider the show’s impressive viewing figures. Yesterday (March 10), the Playstation Blog released their top-selling titles for February 2023, and every release from Naughty Dog’s acclaimed series features heavily.

The Last Of Us Part I, the ground-up remake for PS5, occupies sixth and seventh places in the UK and EU charts, respectively. Moving over to the PS4 listings, The Last Of Us Part II was the best-selling title in the US/Canada and the EU, with The Last Of Us Remastered reaching the top ten in both charts (ninth in the UK and seventh in the EU). These figures are far from surprising since sales for The Last Of Us rocketed by more than 238% following the show’s launch in January.

Joel and Ellie - The Last Of Us.
Joel and Ellie’s adventures are capturing a bigger audience than ever.

Hogwarts Legacy occupies the top spots on the US and EU charts for PS5 titles, with the evergreen Grand Theft Auto V reaching the top three across both territories. Kayak VR: Mirage has dominated the PS VR2 titles charts for the month, followed by Pavlov and Horizon: Call of the Mountain in second and third. Warzone 2.0 claimed the top spot on the Free-to-Play lists, as part of Call of Duty‘s massive popularity on Sony platforms.
