Fall has finally arrived, and with it the sweet, sweet taste of pumpkin spice. While it’s applicable to many different meals and beverages, the most beloved of them all is definitely the pumpkin spice latte. While it might not be everyone’s favorite flavor, the people who do enjoy it tend to praise it to the heavens. So, in the spirit of Fall, here’s some video game characters we think would be all too eager to get their hands a pumpkin spice latte.
10) Nancy Landgraab – Sims Franchise
Nancy Landgraab is typically depicted at the head of her household, a staunch and snobby business woman who would certainly call on an assistant to provide her with a pumpkin spice latte on a long work day. If the ratio of espresso to steamed milk and pumpkin flavoring is not perfect, she’d absolutely refuse to drink it.
9) Tom Nook – Animal Crossing
While pumpkin spice lattes aren’t available at The Roost, we’re positive that with Tom Nook’s preference for coffee, he’d absolutely love it. For one that usually takes his coffee with a ton of milk and a bit of sugar, there’s no way he wouldn’t love a pumpkin spice latte. Not to mention, being a capitalist racketeer–I mean landowner–requires a ton of energy, and there’s no better way to get it than with a nice latte.
8) Abigail – Stardew Valley
The sweet, purple-haired beauty from Stardew Valley already has a love for pumpkins, as shown when you gift them to her in game, there’s no way she wouldn’t love a pumpkin spice latte. (Just forget pumpkin spice lattes don’t actually have pumpkin in them, just spices associated with the flavor.) Given her apparent interest in the occult, you know Fall is bound to be her favorite season, along with the culturally relevant drinks that are sold during that time.
7) Detective Pikachu – Detective Pikachu
While most Pikachus wouldn’t go near a cup of coffee, let alone a pumpkin spice latte, Detective Pikachu is all too likely to indulge in such a delicious human beverage. Already proving to have an interest in coffee, certainly to keep him alert during a long bout of investigating, the smell of pumpkin spice is certain to hit his snout and catch his attention on a Fall coffee run.
6) Wii Fit Trainer – Wii Fit
The Wii Fit Trainer is a definite health buff, and while excessive amounts of coffee aren’t good for you, they would maintain the truth that a couple cups of coffee a day is quite healthy. With proven health benefits, as well as giving one the energy they need to get through a day of rigorous physical exercise, the Wii Fit Trainer would be all too on board with the idea of drinking coffee with spices to get pumped up for Fall!
5) Reaper – Overwatch
This one might seem a little out there, but hear us out. A man swathed in leather, who seemingly tries to be as dramatic and edgy as possible, while also having a Halloween persona with a literal pumpkin head? There’s no way he doesn’t love Fall or the taste of pumpkin spice. If you consider the team he has to deal with in Talon as well, there’s no way he gets about without caffeine.
4) Godot – Ace Attorney
While it’s true that Godot definitely likes his coffee black, for someone that drinks up to 17 cups of coffee a day during a trial, switching it up would be a necessity. For someone that enjoys coffee this much, he’s sure to enjoy a pumpkin spice latte as a buffer between multiple other straight black coffees.
3) Princess Peach – Mario Franchise
While not an inherently expensive drink pumpkin spice lattes are still a luxury with its use of coffee beans and various spices to give it that unique taste. As a royal, Princess Peach would be all too eager to indulge in a drink that brings together so many unique and special tastes. A girlboss in her own right, whether she’s helping rule her kingdom or attempting to thwart off another kidnapping attempt by Bowser, I can see her doing it all with a pumpkin spice latte in hand.
2) Mirage – Apex Legends
While he vehemently denies ever having being attracted to a pumpkin, it’s fairly clear if you read his Dating Service Profile, that while taking what we can assume were psychadelic Khionan mushrooms, he developed an attraction to a pumpkin. Who’s to say that this was already a subconscious thought, or just an enjoyment for the taste of Fall being intesified by drugs? Regardless, knowing what we know, it’s completely safe to assume that Mirage would absolutely love a good pumpkin spice latte.
1) Demeter – Hades
If there’s anyone that’s going to appreciate the ways in which people are able to use the fruits of the Earth to create decadent drinks, it’s the Goddess of Agriculture. Not to mention, while some seasons are less fruitful than others, Fall is definitely a season of bountiful harvest. During this time especially, she’d be far too devoted to the idea of taking part in human delights like having a pumpkin spice latte. Not to mention, coffee may just help her be able to manage dealing with all the other gods on Olympus.
