Ubisoft Tease Upcoming Games For Ubiforward Event

Ubisoft has released a teaser trailer to promote its forthcoming Ubi Forward event on July 12. The clip only lasts twenty seconds, yet promises big things to come from games including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Hyper Scape, and Watch Dogs: Legion.

Watch Dogs: Legion is glimpsed in the teaser. The opening shot depicts London Bridge with banners reading ‘Severe’ on either side. With a premise rather close to home, Legion is set in a futuristic post-Brexit reality. At this time, no release date has been confirmed for Legion, but the next installment in the hacker-thriller franchise is due for 2020.

Ubisoft aims “to deliver an unforgettable experience that changes the way you play and think about open world games.”

The trailer reveals hints of a futuristic city, presumably from the world of the upcoming battle royale game Hyper Scape. Hyper Scape was very recently announced for PC. It’s set to launch on consoles later in time.

Hyper Scape, according to Ubisoft, is described as “the one and only urban futuristic free-to-play Battle Royale where Contenders engage high and low in close-quarters, fast-paced FPS battles to become the next global Champion.”

It adds that Hyper Scape will “change the way we watch video games by allowing streamers and content creators to interact with their audiences like never before.”

On the flip side, moments of snow-laden scenery and a boat on water strongly hint towards Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is set in England and Norway in the Dark Ages, where players assume the role of Evior, a Viking assassin. Valhalla is due for release in Holiday 2020, launching on the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X, including current-gen platforms.
