The road we have been walking for the release of Uncharted 4 has been a long one indeed, originally the game was due to arrive this year, unfortunately a delay occurred and we had a bit longer. For the most part we were fine with this, the reason was justified and we would rather a good game then a rushed one, the release date of March 18th seemed faraway but still it was bearable, though the wait has just gotten a bit longer.
Naughty Dog has revealed today that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has seen a brand new delay pushing the game back to April 26th, so it is a small delay. In case you were wondering about why this delay occurred Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley discussed the delay in a post on the Playstation Blog. The reason they note for this delay is that they needed just a little bit more time to put the finishing touches on the “largest Uncharted game to date.” They had this to say:
“As we approached our final deadlines and started wrapping up the game’s levels, we realized that several key sequences needed extra resources to bring them to the finish line,” Druckmann and Straley explained. “Pushing the date is not an easy choice, and we wouldn’t do it if we didn’t feel in our hearts it’s the best course of action for the game.”
As I just said we would rather a good game then a rushed one and Naughty Dog deserves all the time they can get, we may have to wait longer but you know what it is a month, and I am sure the wait will be worth it.
