Get Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom And Extra Game For $80 With New Costco Trick

[Editor Note: This special deal has now ended, but Costco’s eShop cards still offer savings. Read on for more.]

Members of Costco in the United States can use a new trick to grab The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and one additional AAA Nintendo Switch title for just $80. Until March 3 (while supplies last), Costco members can buy a $50 Nintendo eShop gift card for $40, a huge $10 saving. However, the real big savings come when we stack these together and play it smart.

Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers cost $100 a pair, and can be spent on any two eligible Nintendo Switch titles, including the hugely anticipated The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Buying two eShop gift cards at Costco prices gets you $100 worth of Nintendo eShop credit for just $80. Then, spending these on a pair of Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers, you can buy Tears of the Kingdom and one additional game of your choice, bagging up to $130 of Switch games for just $80. Keep in mind that the vouchers expire a year after purchase, so maybe wait until you’ve decided your two games before buying.

Using Costco’s discounted eShop gift cards can grab you the latest Nintendo games at a huge discount.

The savings don’t stop there, as your purchase of the Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers will also earn you $5 back in Nintendo eShop Gold Points. Put it all together, and you’ve got a whopping $135 to spend on the Nintendo eShop from that initial $80 investment. Of course, there are both state-based taxes and Costco membership fees to consider. Costco’s memberships start at $60 per year for the Gold Star Membership tier, but can get as high as $120 per year for the Executive Membership plan with additional bonuses.

That’s all there is to it! You can buy the Costco eShop cards right here. Even after the sale, they’ll still only be $45 for a $50 card.
