The third in the inFamous series by Sucker Punch Productions is now officially ready for its March 21 release date, as the studio has confirmed that development of the title is complete.
For those who don’t know, Infamous: Second Son is a continuation of the series, following a brand new protagonist, Delsin Rowe, who was not featured in either the original Infamous or its sequel. From what we’ve seen, this new “hero” is more of a wildcard than his predecessor, a superhuman with a carefree attitude who enjoys the thrills of his power and freedom that comes with it.
Sucker Punch co-founder Brian Fleming took to Twitter, saying “Infamous: Second Son has gone GOLD! Big day here at SPP!”
This follows a post last week on Sucker Punch’s Official Website and the Playstation Blog, the latter of which featured a small gameplay teaser to get people pumped for the final stretch before the game’s release.
We certainly have high hopes for Infamous: Second Son, and can’t wait to see if it will live up to the hype enough to be the final push for those skeptical about the new consoles to give in to temptation.
