The community behind Helldivers 2 has been set abuzz by rumors of a possible new enemy type being added to the game, one that might be hiding below the surface. Arrowhead Studios is currently expanding upon the in-game war taking place in Helldivers 2’s universe, which will see an addition of Super Earth soldiers and the possible new enemy.
As mentioned before, the current expansion of Helldivers 2’s galactic war focuses on the new major order from Super Earth Command which seems to tie in with the liberation of the Zagon Prime and Fori Prime worlds within the next two days. The directive will lead players into dangerous Terminids territory and many believe that Arrowhead Studios will utilize this opportunity to show off a new enemy type, one that will be equipped to take on Super Earth’s forces.

Rumors of a new enemy type were then further spurred on by users of the official Helldivers subreddit, who suggested both Zagon Prime and Fori Prime may be hiding new enemies below the surface of the planets. The main reason behind this is due to the tone of the major order, which suggests that Super Earth Command is confident in the Terminid Control System that was recently activated by players. It would make sense for Arrowhead Studios to throw a new enemy into the mix as things seem to be going a little too well for Super Earth Command – and as the saying goes: what goes up, must come down.
