A New Trailer Dropped for Anthem, Along With Demo Details

A new trailer for Anthem has been released, along with launch dates for the game’s demo.

At The Game Awards 2018, a story trailer was released for Anthem. In the trailer, we see the Anthem and what it can do. We also see the villain that plans to use the it to end what he calls “needless suffering.” We get a taste of the game’s world and the conflicts within it. We also learn the use for the armored Javelin suits that players will don.

It has also been announced that the “VIP Demo” for BioWare’s upcoming title will drop on Jan. 25, and will run until Jan. 27. The VIP Demo will be available to those who pre-order the game, as well as subscribers of both EA Access and Origin Access. Those who participate in the VIP Demo will also receive a special item. Everyone else will be able to try out the demo on Feb. 1. We do not know what will be in the demo, but it should give us a peek at the game’s world and combat.

BioWare’s upcoming looter shooter is the next project after the studio’s last showing, Mass Effect: Andromeda, which was a commercial failure. After ending post-launch support for Andromeda, it wasn’t long before BioWare announced Anthem, a wholly original IP.

In other BioWare news, the studio dropped a teaser trailer for a Dragon Age title at The Game Awards on Thursday. Not much is known about the the upcoming game, but it came with the hashtag #TheDreadWolfRises, likely alluding to the surprise ending of Dragon Age: Inquisition. In short, it looks like BioWare has another bullet in the chamber after Anthem.

Anthem will release on Feb. 22, 2019. It will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
