An Animated Diablo Series is on the Way

It seems that an animated Diablo series is in the works.

Variety has reported that a new Diablo animated series is on the way. The news broke when Boom! Studios founder Andrew “Andy” Cosby tweeted on Wednesday that he is in the “final talks” to both write and show-run the series, which would air on Netflix. Unfortunately, the tweet has since been deleted, hinting that an official announcement for the series is on the way.

Cosby is currently working on the Hellboy reboot. This has led fans to believe that the animated series based off Blizzard’s franchise will be a dark and violent affair.

This news comes soon after the announcement that Diablo III: Eternal Collection will release for the Nintendo Switch on Nov. 2. The Switch port will include all of the game’s expansions, as well as console exclusive Zelda-themed content. This version of the game will support four players locally on a single console, as well as the ability to connect four Switches together wirelessly. The game will play at 720p in handheld mode, and 920p while docked. It will run at 60 frames per second in both modes.
