Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Title Update Introduces Ostara Festival

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gifted fans with the River Raid update last month, but now the title update 1.2.0 is set to introduce the Ostara Festival.

As part of the update, the Assassin’s Creed social platforms have announced that there will be game improvements, new skills, a close camera option, and the ability to change appearance. So there’s a lot to unpack!

Firstly, the Ostara Festival will become available from March 18 until April 8. The update will feature a blooming Ravensthorpe as well as some special side activities such as egg hunts, as well as special rewards. Ubisoft will provide more details upon the start of the Festival. In case you were wondering what Ostara is, it’s a real Pagan festival which celebrates fertility and the growth of the Earth. It has a close resemblance to Easter in case you hadn’t guessed!

Many fans will be delighted with the Change Appearance aka. Transmog addition to the game after some players didn’t like how their gear changed appearance when upgrading it with no customisation option. Fortunately, players can now change the appearance of their gear and weapons within the same category of items at Gunnar the blacksmith’s in their Ravensthrope settlement. The cost will be 50 silver and changed items will then be marked with a star in the inventory.

As for new skills, players can expect to see the Fearless Leaper ability, which when activated will let players perform a leap attack with damage that affects a larger area and can also be done at any height. Another addition will be Loot Food, which gives Eivor a higher chance of looting food from dead bodies. Finally, players will be able to use Raven’s Loot, which is similar to Loot Food, except your raven gathers loot from targets killed with ranged attacks.

Finally, regarding game improvements, feline lovers will be in for a treat as the game is adding more cats across England – how purrfect! The game is also going to address graphical problems and various issues with players getting stuck or being unable to move objects. There’s a whole host of game updates to peruse.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla‘s 1.2.0 update is out March 16!

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
