In order to craft an Emerald Band, you must first unlock the recipe from the Skill Tree. The node containing the recipe will be hidden behind the Gathering: Quantity Boost Lv. 1 skill. You will need to acquire this skill first before the Emerald Band recipe appears, and you have to spend 200 Skill Points (SP) to obtain it.
Afterward, you can go to the Secret Hideout and create the Emerald Band. You will need Emerald Glass, Ingots, and Threads as the core ingredients, but you can also add Magical materials to increase the item’s quality.
You can get Emerald Glass once you can explore the Cleria region. You will need to head east toward the Scintilla Mines, and you will be able to acquire some of this precious glass by smashing crystals near the Scintilla Underground Lake Landmark.
For Ingots, you will need to synthesize some yourself by combining Amatite Ore, Ore, and Stone. You should already have these materials if you pick up all items on your path during your visit to the Sunken Mine region.
There are several objects that are considered Threads, such as Tough Vine and Fluffy Wool, but the easiest one to obtain is Restraint Silk. You can acquire some by picking up spider webs scattered in many areas, like the Pirate Ship in the Mystery Illuminated by the Lighthouse side quest.
After you’ve acquired all core items and crafted your first Emerald Band, you can equip it in the Item section in the main menu. Now, you can finally use those grappling hook devices that you found during your adventure. You no longer need to walk since you can zoom around like Spider-Man! Of course, you need to activate the devices first, but they’re still very handy.
