Embark on this thrilling adventure by visiting Gravell in the Wildlands and engaging with the Retired Blacksmith. Locate his dwelling, the first house in town, but beware of the debt collector loitering outside. Subdue them – using Castti’s Soothe, Hikari’s Challenge, Throne’s Ambush, or Ochette’s Provoke – to gain entry, and once inside, strike up a conversation with the Blacksmith. He’ll reveal his unfulfilled dream of crafting a divine weapon and entrust you to retrieve such divine weapons on his behalf.
Within the game lies a total of six mystical weapons, commonly known as Rusty weapons, each hidden in distinct locations. To obtain the first weapon, make your way to Borderfall and follow the trail out of town until you come across a wooden footbridge accompanied by a ladder. Descend the ladder, board a boat, and head to the Seat of the Water Sprite. Upon arriving, disembark and immediately take the first left, followed by a right turn. Continue upward until you spot a ladder marking the end of the path. Descend this ladder and proceed straight – you’ll uncover the Rusty Staff inside a treasure chest.
To find the second weapon, venture to Winterbloom and engage with a Troubled Woman. She will implore you to provide her with a Pickaxe to shatter some stone. Fulfill her plea – the Pickaxe can be found held by a Retired Miner in Oresrush – and you shall be rewarded with the Rusty Sword.
For the third weapon, venture to the Sundering Sea and set foot on the Shipwreck. Once there, tread the path to the summit, where you shall discover the Rusty Dagger in a treasure chest.
For the fourth weapon, make haste to Timberain and progress toward Timberain Castle: Town Square. Upon arrival, veer left from the fountain where an Elderly Soldier stands guard by a gate. Subdue him (once again Ambush, Soothe, Provoke, or Challenge will work) and venture forth into the room, where you’ll stumble upon a chest harboring the Rusty Polearm.
For the fifth weapon, journey to Sai and head westward to the Western Sai Sands. Upon arrival, locate Quicksand Gaol, with a crimson chest at its center—guarded by a fearsome opponent. Triumph over this adversary and claim your prize: the Rusty Axe.
For the sixth and final weapon, set your course for Toto’haha and head to Western Toto’Haha Traverse. Follow the path until you reach a lake; use a boat to access Southern Nameless Village Traverse. Once there, navigate to Sinking Ruins and thoroughly inspect the surroundings. A guarded chest awaits at the conclusion of this area; prevail over its protector and obtain the Rusty Bow.
Having successfully gathered all these weapons, return them to the Blacksmith. Grant him these Rusty Weapons, which will in turn grant you mastery over the Armsmaster job AND completion of this noble quest—rewarded with 20,000 Leaves and Wise King’s Shield.
