While Nintendo certainly wasn’t lacking in announcements this E3, many have still been speculating about when we’ll hear further information on what’s going on with Bayonetta 3, which was once again absent from the event this year and has been without news since its announcement at The Game Awards back in 2017.
In an interview between Tamoor Hussain from GameSpot and Bill Trinen and Nate Bihldorff from Nintendo Treehouse, Hussain closed out by asking if they could at least confirm whether or not Bayonetta 3 still exists at least. The initial answer was a solid “yes” with Trinen then saying he was willing to “go one further and say not only does it exist, but it’s progressing well.” He said that while it was not at E3 to stay tuned as it would be shown when Nintendo and the developers were ready to show it. The Bayonetta 3 info comes at 19:37 in the interview, which covers plenty of other Nintendo titles too.
This has no doubt been a source of much relief for eager Bayonetta fans, and hopefully there will be a little more on the game to tell or perhaps even show later on this year.
Bayonetta 3 is in development for the Nintendo Switch.
I don’t even doubt director Kamiya’s progress. The guy is a goddamn fun-producing machine. An alien hotshot 80’s leather jacket kind of cool 😀
Play The Wonderful 101 while waiting for Bayo. I think I love it more then the entire Bayonetta series, it’s sooo goood :O
