Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare III – Makarov Trailer

The first full trailer for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare III has dropped – and the ultimate threat is lying in wait to take on the 141. As we already know from a previous teaser trailer, Vladimir Makarov, the main antagonist from the oreriginal Modern Warfare 3, which debuted twelve years ago, will serve as the villain for the new iteration of Modern Warfare III

Courtesy of new footage shared by the Call Of Duty Youtube channel, seen further below, Makarov is languishing in a prison. His presence within the prison sets the tone for what sort of villain we can expect in him. The inmates worship him, the dogs fear him, and Makarov has access to a makeshift tattoo parlour within the prison.

“The danger we face is clear and present” Price says above the footage. “This is not a threat, not an if, but when, a force of evil who seeks to tear the world apart, piece by piece to him, every ally is a weapon, every bystander a shield, we don’t know his next target, but we know ours…, Makarov.”

You can watch the live-action trailer below. A worldwide reveal event in Warzone 2 on August 17, so if you want to catch it on the day, make sure you’ve updated the battle-royale game. Makarov is recognised as one of Call Of Duty’s most notorious villains, and contributed to one of the most controversial missions in the series to date – No Russian.

It’s important to remember that Modern Warfare II concluded with a group of Russian ultranationalists hijacking a plane, and a downed jet does feature in the new trailer.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare III is set to launch on November 10, 2023. As for platforms, Activision Blizzard has yet to confirm, but it’d be a safe bet we can expect the title to launch on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
